From a photo taken of my late husband and our two German Shepherds. On the bank at Bill Fen, Cambridgeshire. I'd earmarked this image as one I would like to try in watercolour. The silhouettes against a darkening sky took only two days to finish. I painted the background using wet on wet, marking out the silhouettes and tree outlines as I did so. I let this dry and added the details using wet on dry.
