Thanks for your kind comment on my picture. This is a great example of excellent clouds. And the story it tells relates to my dad working for Hargreaves Colliery, designing liftgear.

Oil on board 16inx12in. After 150 years of productive coal mining at Pleasley colliery 1983 saw the closing of the pit. This bought about hardship and problems for local families. The site now operates as a museum which is a fitting tribute to all those who worked there
