You look very nice, but do please not go down this endless conceptual road: use your degree to make contacts and open doors, but forget the crap they taught you at art college.

Blimey Omar you`ve got alot going on in your head haven`t you, love your spuriosty shop exhibition , think you need to chill though mate , you look a really nice person on this picture your art seems to me a tad angry this may not be the case , just my perception. Good luck for the future!!

To answer your comments: "You look very nice, but do please not go down this endless conceptual road: use your degree to make contacts and open doors, but forget the crap they taught you at art college." It would be impossible for me to forget what they taught me in art school because I learnt nothing. True I was exposed to literature that I wouldn't have necessarily read but this simply galvanized my disdain for conceptual art and pseudo-intellectualism. The purpose of this 'work' ,which is in actual fact a picture that my Dad took for my modelling portfolio, is to poke fun at the current art world's (artist & critic alike) use of pretentious or misleading language. "Mixed media bio-sculptural figure. 1986" is nothing but a piss-take. I don't actually speak or write like that in reality. "Blimey Omar you`ve got alot going on in your head haven`t you, love your spuriosty shop exhibition , think you need to chill though mate , you look a really nice person on this picture your art seems to me a tad angry this may not be the case , just my perception. I don't want to create art that is merely beautiful because, at the risk of sounding moronic, it doesn't really interest me. Beauty is easy to find. Our pets are beautiful, the women in magazines/television are beautiful, if were lucky, our surroundings are beautiful. Anger is ugly and ugliness, to me, is fascinating. Would you prefer if I painted flowers and nudes? Diversity is healthy is it not?. As if it''s not difficult enough making a living as an artist, I have graduated into the worst economic climate for 80 years that is absolutely no fault of my own. Do I not have the right to be angry? Thank you both for commenting.

VERY good answer! And if it consoles you at all, I'm as angry with the world as you are; I just express it differently. No, wouldn't want you painting flowers and nudes - what I'd like you to do is carry on doing what you are doing: going your own way and being Bolshie. (But bearing in mind that there are many different ways of responding to a very puzzling world - however, I'm not about to patronize you, if I can help it.) Please keep posting your work: it's always interesting. And believe me - we all know what you mean about graduating into the worst economic climate for 80 years, because, like you, we're all suffering from it.

Cheers Robert for appreciating my whining.
