I love this.Great drawing and the atmosphere you've created is wonderful

You don't need Mike Sibley if you can do this. Losing the tooth can be frustrating - you couldn't have fixed the drawing and come back at it, maybe with a touch of white conté rather than the charcoal?

Many thanks for the kind words. The more I think about it the less it is negative drawing. I drew the items but it was just odd to be drawing in white on black!

This is another foray into negative drawing. Where's Mike Sibley when you need him? This was completed in about two and a half hours using Derwent charcoal pencils (white and grey) on black card (A4). I lost the tooth of the card in the doorway and so couldn't get it as light as I wanted.
