Really great - you have been very busy. Do you think you will do some more? You may have found your art speciality!

Donna, This is so good! I know that you put your soul into your paintings but this is you breaking out of your comfort zone and experimenting as an artist. And succeeding!! This represents far more than the image on the screen. This is your growing confidence as an artist and as a person. I take my hat off to you :-)

Oh my Thank you Adele & Bob your comments are so encouraging on just an experiment on wallpaper!! Adele I saw your comment on your monoprint and did some research and had a go when I got home this evening with what I had. My 1st attempt was with paper and this stuck firmly to the acrylic paint and would not peel off! So I tried wallpaper and the result is what I put up. Bob your comments are so encouraging from someone whose work in my opinion is outstanding. The support you give makes me want to carry on - thank you :-)

I was so pleased Donna, because when you started you seemed to think we were all experts and I wanted to assure you that we have all been learning and some of us still are. This is wonderful. All I can think of with the paint that stuck is that you might have used ordinary acrylic which dries quickly, Open acrylics are slow drying.

Thank Adele for the information and the encouragement and support you always give me which I appreciate. When I investigated monoprinting I was fascinated and wanted to have a go, but being at work all day and not being able to get to anywhere to purchase the necessary stuff, I thought I would have a go with what I had at home. The paper I used to paint on was just ordinary writing paper and then I used acrylic paper to create the design. The writing paper was obviously to thin and that's why it stuck - that's when I hit on using card to paint the design and then used wallpaper to lift the design off, which did not turn out too bad. I will be having a go with better materials to see how it turns out. Many Thanks again ;-)

About the Artist
Donna Crane
