Yama by Margaret Mallows

Yama is the Japanese name for mountain/s, and appropriate for this view from Mount Otake to Mount Fuji in the far distance. The grasses are Miscanthus, native to Japan and parts of Asia; we will be familiar with them as an ornamental grass in out gardens. My reference photos were with kind permission of a friend who lives in Japan and regularly trail runs across the mountains. The intense blue of the sky reflects the thin air at altitude.

This is really nice, love the contrast of light and dark. Beautiful !

Super detailed lino print - those grasses must have taken ages.

@Heather - thank you, and no, not a fast process!
