Yes I had a similar accident with that pesky delete key. Nice subtle painting, full of atmosphere. Might I pop in one small word of criticism . I am not sure about the almost straight lins across the top of the far trees ! I fee they're a bit too neat and even. Maybe a bit more sky, or even trim it across the line... ?

Ooops just looked again. You haven't trimmed it?

Thank you for your comments Sylvia, and I think I can reassure you about what has happened here. I was commissioned to paint a panorama landscape of this scene. So although the painting is 'long and skinny' the paper is not, and there is a band of unpainted paper at the top, on top of which you will see the tape that affixed it to the board. The client had seen some of my previous work and liked some of my vignettes, so I left a ragged edge unpainted above the sky. However, when framed this was ignored and the mount sits right at the top of the sky. I hope this clarifies it for you. Thank you for your ineterest once again.
