Great composition Mike, did you actually catch the moment or find the subject and constructed the composition? if the first, then lucky man, if the second, then great foresight and perception. This is a superb painting in all aspects and extremely well executed.

Thanks Peter. It's an old theme of mine and pretty well constructed from a few of my sources. The Jetty and some of the people on top and below are from the annual Kite Festival at Semaphore..lots of people around then. The beach cricket players are from Goolwa Beach and the yachts are from a scene looking back from the jetty but have added them here for extra interest. A few of the figures and boats I have just added from memory. cheers MIke
