I love this, Midori. Did you do it on Rough paper?

Just saw this while browsing. Lovely loose watercolour. Did you do it on the spot or from a photo.

Hi Michael, Simple? No, just I have awful short eye sight, so I can't see properly. That's it. But anyway, thank you.

Hi Caroline, What is Rough paper? In my case, I use smooth side and rough side of paper, it means both side of paper, to save money. For example, 12 sheets water colour pad, if we do a painting on a paper, only 12 paintings, but if I use both side, I can paint 24 paintings. Watercolur papers are quite expensive for me.

Hi heather, Thank you for looking at my works and leaving the comment. I do tfirst of all paint black and white by brush to check the tone and composition and if the piece make me feel comfortable, I paint by colour later. I should say like this, however, this is not true. I'm still shy to paint outside. I can't relax if somebody comes to me, so I take lots of photos and paint at home. When I take photos, these days, I can see and feel something on photos which will be nice paint or other way around.

This is another super piece, Midori - you created another artistic gem out of a totally mundane scene. Love the happy atmosphere and colors.

Hi Midori I asked if you'd done it on the spot because I really like the way it looks so loose and immediate and not at all over-worked. If I'm painting I usually work from photos too, but it can be great fun to sketch outdoors and I find that people rarely even notice let alone approach and say something negative!

Hi Heather, Weekend, I do sketching by brush and only black waterecolour paint in a very quiet cafe in shopping centre. The stuff never complain to me. Even I stay there for 2 hours only a cup, because no custmers for long time. As long as I sit down, some people start come in. Just like I work to get custmer for them. The coffee is terrible, but the best location for sketch people. I haven't thought loose painting seriously. I just like finish quickly. My concentration span is really short. Sometimes it turns as merits, but sometimes demerits. fufufu
