No she is not beautiful. But full of character.

To me she has a serious look about her, as though she was a little wary or suspicious or uneasy...or something like that. It's difficult to look serious and beautiful at the same time. She certainly is not ugly. I like it

Midori, Thank you for your encouraging comments on my portraits. May I return the compliment. I think that portraits are hard enough in any medium, but in watercolour!! I think this painting shows enormous skill at handling a medium where spontaneity and freshness are so easily crushed by the sheer technical difficulty of watercolour. You have produced here a wonderful portrait. You have inspired me to get my brushes out and see what I can do. In the meantime I have posted another quick pastel sketch done at my portrait class a few weeks ago. I am becoming less reticent about showing my early attempts, since the comments I receive are encouraging and really helpful.

HI Sylvia, Thank you for the comment. I don't know why I'm not keen to paint girls. Maybe I might know the result before painting. Whenever I try boys, so many fantastic accidents help me, but hardly happens in girls. I don't know why. It is interesting.

Hi Duncan, I've looked at all your work. All are very freely. They seem no ristrictions. I like not completed touch. My way of painting is I want to leave white paper. If somebody like my paint, the person who got it would be able to continue the piece. I know it won't happen, but I have such policy. So always my works seems like half way. When I look your work, you have same kind of ideas. I hope I'm correct.

Hi Braian, Thanks. These days, I like using flat brushes like oil painting. There is no rule art!!!!! Do you agree?

Oh go on! She's certainly not ugly Midori. She has great character. Well done.
