Pastels on 14 x 16” pastelmat. I’m very fortunate to now live close to the Suffolk coast and have been searching for inspiration that is true to me and my ethos as an artist. In my latest piece I pay tribute to the iconic Scallop by Maggi Hambling majestically basking in the sun and catching the light at Aldeburgh beach. A stunning sculpture which was also designed to be a shelter as well as a seat, a meeting place and a resting point where visitors can ‘contemplate the mysterious power of the sea'.
