Lochside I by Michael Harrison

The only problem I have with this is the slightly erratic (or so it seems to me) touches of yellow brush-work in the sky; I'd have preferred more blending - but frankly, it's your decision, not mine! I love the sharp lemon yellow touches across the water, and the suggestion of fence in the foreground set on the duller green - and the far mountain, just delineated by a brush-stroke, is very effective. You know when to leave well enough alone: and that's particularly important in oil.

I like this painting a lot. It has got something very appealing, the beautiful yellow field with a hint of trees. Everything works well together and makes it a pleasant painting. ( I like the touches of yellow in the sky!)
