Lots of life in this one Michael, I haven't done a matchstick and ink drawing myself for a while, must have a go!

I do like it - the angle, the colours, the life in the line.

Love those strong lines Michael and you've captured a lovely spring morning beautifully. The cars are great too!

I do like it Michael, the overall composition works well, plus, I like the colours, especially that lovely green shade bottom right and the large trees. Oh, and the cars of course!

Yes, I like this version best Michael. Interesting scene makes you wonder what's just over the hill.

Thanks all. I was pleased with the way the colours worked on the road - only hope I can replicate it in future scenes!!

Love it and must try a twig one day. Well done Michael

The last time I used a twig for ink drawing was in the 60s during my studies at art school. Must look for a new one. This is again a beauty, Michael. Maybe I asked it before, but what size are those scenes Michael?

Thanks Derek and Mia. Mia - the scenes are painted at approximately A4 size mounting in 18ins by 14 ins frames. as for the twig I find elder is quite good - it has a sappy centre which I dig out a bit and which acts as a reservoir.

Yes, you must do more of these lively, lovely twig and inks. Beautiful.

I do like it too. It is very fresh and charming.

Great cars! I am a fan of cars and such like in sketches as they make the scene seem more real. Very lively sketch and using the twig adds another dimension which is very interesting.

Love this piece, Michael. I hope there are more "twig-works" in the pipeline!

Thanks Gudren, Shirley, Thea and Seok. Yes there will be more but off on travels so will have to wait a bit.

Painted this am - that is apart from initial twig and ink which I did last night - quite a while since I did a twig and ink - must do more. Hope you like it.
