Less detail than with your normal village scenes but that is explained by the small size. The limited pallet gives it a sense of drama, which I like. For some reason it reminds me a little of a Lowry painting of a church I've seen in the Lowry Gallery in Salford (well worth a visit).

A lovely, little painting with very pleasing colours. I like Michael!

Thanks Stephen and Satu - It does lose something from the original - the owner of this little piece is soon to have her wedding ceremony in this church.

This was what you might call a mini-commission being only postcard size. It is a delightful Church which sits out into the lake - Rutland Water is one of the countries hidden gems. Being so small I'm not sure how it will reproduce on the screen but I guess I will soon find out. Hope you like it.
