This has worked well Michael it's strange how well black ink and watercolour go together, especially with the white of the snow. I'm sure it will look well as a card, perhaps worth offering it to a card publisher?

The sky adds warm to the overall picture which dipicts one of those cold but sunny days which are picture perfect. Nice touch with the shadow in the foreground and the light shining througgh the gate.

Like the simplicity in this, and your use of colour and light.

Beautiful light in this painting - it really glows with that marvellous golden and turquoise sky. Love the composition and I think it would make an excellent card. (You've done a great deal better with your twig than I did with my sharpened matchstick, I can tell you! Mine looked as if I had dipped a very fat finger in soot and then drawn with it. I shall examine your painting with interest and see if I can pick up any tips on how to use these unusual tools to draw with.)
