Really like this, Michael; it's fresh and crisply painted and the colours just sing warmth and sunshine.

Another beautiful painting, Michael. The figures are so well added, they give an idea about the proportions. Love the composition, colours and brilliantly painted sunny square and buildings. All the best to you and your wife.

Nice one Michael. It says just enough to make it work. Well observed little details too.

You have simplified what must be a very complex scene and made a nice watercolour from it.

Lovely tones and feeling to this painting, Michael. I like the addition of people which makes sense of the buildings - avoids that 'ghost town' look. I really love the colour of your sky - so complimentary to the shades of the buildings.

Beautiful & warm. Nice work michael.

Very very nice.....beautifully understated and unfussy.

Thanks so much to you all for your kind comments

Lovely sunny painting Michael.

Thanks Fiona - I keep to a regulated palette which means the sunny look is a regular feature of my work - even in dull English landscapes!!!

I agree with all the above, another beautiful painting

I love the sunny atmosphere, lovely painting Michael.

love this. Great colours and contrast. I also like that I spotted it on the front page and thought that it was probably yours. A good sign I think.

Another lovely painting Michael.

Beautiful use of colour, lovely strong sense of light and shade, super painting!

Another one from the 'back catalogue'. Looks a bit more blue on screen.
