This is something i should do more of - simple studies of figures,trees, whatever. It can only add to the "bigger picture" later. So simple and unclutterd, yet it says so much. nice work Michael.

I love this too, as Tony suggests, there is a lot to be said for more simple compositions. Fantastic wet-in-wet technique and I particularly like the understated colour in the umbrellas.

The simplicity showcases your skill, Michael. People are one of the hardest things to capture with simplicity and you've done that very well here. The fluidity and clarity of your washes and the spontaneity of the atmosphere are really enviable.
