Lovely!!!

55 years ago, when I was a boy, these birds were ubiquitous - now.... well, I hardly see any of them. But this is how they are, and your painting takes me back to the time when so many birds were more common by far than they are now. I sometimes wonder if we have any idea at all of what we're losing and have lost. Perhaps their comparative rarity now at least makes us aware of their beauty: I hope this painting doesn't become a requiem, that's all.
