Thank you all for your kind words. This was a very hard painting to resolve. Still think it may be over worked, I like the view of the church through the branches upper left. You’d need to go in close to see it. This is a big one. It’s also very textured if you saw it for real. I think the title gives the wrong idea it was really about the light so perhaps should have been titles’Light Wood’ Martin

At this level of resolution the church is hardly visible, one example of how important it is to see the real work. You get no idea of scale or the detail or the texture here. Martin
