This image is only 6 inch square and was taken from a larger painting that I cut up! The inspiration for the larger painting was a visit to the Farne Islands. During our time in Northumberland I became inspired by the National Trust signage and in particular the rusty services. I have concentrated this image to show one of those signs in abstract form.
