This is a very atmospheric painting. Beautiful!

Um. I think it's screaming for a glaze of colour over the greys, to be honest.... I have seen this style before, but I really think it needs taking further - there is a touch of the Bob Ross School about this, which I find too stylized to be convincing. I would also be strongly tempted to take the trees in the middle distance and finish them with an upward sweep into the sky; they seem to come to a precipitate halt, which real trees don't do - it's as if they've been snapped off........ Hope this isn't harsh, but if this is the result of a particular tutor's influence, I do feel it's time to move on - which I'm sure you can do.

Robert you certainly have the knack of pulling people down. As my response to your comment on "Caught in the act" states I am NOT a professional artist. I don't have a problem with constructive criticism but you seem to always knock down the style of work that doesn't meet with your own ideas and ability. Yes it IS Bob Ross style, as most of my paintings are, but if I enjoy it....so what??! Whatever you might think, it is still art, and if this is the way in which I want to express myself then that is what I shall continue to do, although I may not post any further paintings on here.

I've only just seen your reply - you obviously DO have a problem with constructive criticism, and if you aren't going to post any more, that's up to you. You needn't worry that I shall comment on anything else you do post, however. Ross is a menace, and it's a pity you've fallen for it, but as you say, that's your decision.
