Just a side point - I thought they were Weimaraners, not Wein - as in, dogs from Weimar.... or I've been saying it wrong all these years... Anyway, beautiful dogs, beautifully painted in this example.

We used to have a Weinmaraner and they are such elegant and spectacular dogs. Your portrait shows this one at his best. High quality work as always.

PS I think you are right Robert and I actually ought to know, but we are going back about 35 years now! There is no 'n' at the beginning of the word.
