This is absolutely wonderful; the way you have treated the different textures of the leather collar, the metal; tag with the reflections, the coat , the tongue and the nose is excellent. I can almost feel the thickness and smoothness of the leather and the rasping tongue and juicy moist flews. Really really superb.

I've looked at your website and this is by far the best that you show there.

Just lovely beautiful expression...a beautiful dog

He looks so real. This is a lovely portrait of your dog - beautifully painted in pastel.

Lovely portrait and a great dog.

A wonderful picture, you have caught the various textures very well and the facial features are excellent.

What a fantastic painting. So good down to the wet nose. He looks like a nice dog.

A beautiful pastel portrait. What a wonderful big friend you have there!

I agree with Diana, certainly the best yet. You have such control over the pastels, I am in awe. What base do you normally use for your pastels and how do they compare to Clairefontaine? I have just tried velour for the first time and do not like the feel of it at all.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. Glad someone else doesn't like velour thought it was just me, most people I know of who've tried it sings it's praises. Thanks again.

Just Beautiful! Looks just like a photo!
