Zennor Village, Cornwall (pastel)

Very beautifully painted... one niggle, the light source. Quite strong shadow on the house roof and chimney presumably cast by the church tower, . Therefore I am assuming that this was done around mid day on a very bright day?? and that is why there is very little other shadow?????

Great charm in this painting. It shows skill with pastel ! details and softness of application and colours make it so appealing !

Surely the shadows are OK. They are coming from the Right side, aren't they, Sylvia ? I see the strong shadow on the roof as being that from the ridge tiles on the roof itself. The picture is a very good effort and quite eye-catching with precise detail amongst the generally loose style. Bill Sutton.

This really is just beautiful. There is such a lot to look at - the light and shadow is so good.
