Beautiful watercolour - wonderful colour, lovely touches of the brush.

Lovely light in this one Mark. again great figures

Great painting. The perspective seems to drift a touch as both sides of the walls/parapets approach the viewer. They dip in the foreground. That could, of course, be how they actually are, so take with a pinch. Sublime piece Brian

Thanks for all the comments. The bridge really is wobbly Brian, it rises at each statue, though I may have exaggerated it just a little!

Your technique is top drawer Mark absolutely love the subdued background. A difficult subject and just a suggestion but moving the figures so that they are not equal distance between the statutes might improve the composition. I hope you don’t mind the critique which seems a bit mean when it is such a good painting.
