This is very good. Compositionally it's spot on and the effect/atmosphere that you have created makes it such a lovely image.

A really lovely painting Margaret, fabulous colours and I like the understated foreground slowly building to the focal point. The way you have got the buildings partialy screened with trees and shrubs is so effective everything is anchored so nicley, I think you have achieved what you were wanting to do beautifuly.

This picture was painted a few years ago when I was trying to change from neat and tidy watercolours to something a bit more loose. I think this one was the turning point and I am very fond of it.
