Caol Ila, Islay by Manus Mcginty
Caol Ila sits nestles down in one of the most sheltered bays on Islay. This is basically a reasonably modern factory after extensive reconstruction, now with a fabulous new visitor centre. The housing behind was built for the distillery workers. This was painted from a series of photographs taken from the Islay - Colonsay ferry.
