Watercolour on textured ground made from thinned oils paints stippled on to wet paper. 1/4 imperial Arches Hot Press paper This is the project I set the Chester-le-Street Arts Society during January to draw freehand without ruler or construction lines and to keep all the buildings flat showing only front and end elevations.The choice of the type of a textured base was theirs.
