St Aidan and Lindisfarne

Really like this Malcolm, Lindesfarne is one of my favourite places, I was lucky enough to spend two weeks there a couple of years ago in November and had two weeks of clear weather believe it or not and as you can imagine, magnificent sky's, sunsets and sunrises and NO crowds in the day. I really like the way you have done your painting using all the iconic elements relating to the Island and the culture, the statues of St Aidan is really good with the silhouette of the castle just as he stands in the church yard but more colourful. The blending of the colours overall gives it a real mystical feeling, a really smashing piece, sorry for rambling but I love that island and you have done it justice.

I love the design element to this Malcolm, and the colours. I also like the way you use clingfilm in a lot of your paintings - at what stage do you apply this?
