Lovely work Malcolm and your galleries are a delight

Amazing painting Malcolm, love it :)

Beautiful painting love the colours

Your style is changing, Malcolm...becoming more illustrative? Interesting palette.

Thanks for the all comments- this is just one of the styles in which I paint and are quite popular on the ArtFinder website. See https://www.artfinder.com/product/anstruther-harbour/

I love this more illustrative style, Malcolm. It's simple yet so effective, with a beautiful range of colours, especially like the reds/golds which you use in a lot of your paintings. (What colours do you use for these?)

A lively cheerful painting Malcolm!

Thanks Carole and Jenny. The colours I use for these paintings are White Knight bright reds ans oranges straight for the pan- the earth colours in this range are quite week. I also over glaze with Winsor and Newton quinacridone gold, brown madder and purple.

Stunning piece, with a lovely palette, composition and atmosphere.

Watercolour with black lines in naive style. Painted after a week sketching based in Anstruther- lovely weather. Can any Scots out there tell me why they have double front doors in a normal single opening in Fife? I asked a local who turned out to be a carpenter who said he fitted theses doors in Glasgow and Edinburgh as well as Fife but did not know the reason behind the style.
