I do like that almost throwaway line at the end - "I still do not like painting with acrylics." Well whether you like it or not, you've produced a highly original painting of considerable depth and beauty. You're a watercolourist by nature and temperament, and of course acrylic just doesn't work like watercolour - in some respects, it will (try Chromacolour? More finely ground than most) but then you just hit a wall where it won't behave anything like the same - this is especially true of the heavier bodied acrylics. Even so, learn to love 'em, if they're giving you results like this.

Painted with geat precision and imagination. I took an instant liking to it.

Great design and blend of colours.

A super painting and I have to agree with the above comments. Well done...you have to do more with acrylics!

Acrylic on canvas 20x16 ins. I have had the half finished painting around for ages so yesterday with finishing work early with the rains I decided to finish it off. The picture show celtic knotwork and animal designs interwoven with Holy Island Castle and the statue of St. Aidan. I still do not like painting with acrylics.
