Strangely I met someone from New Plymouth Old Plymouth! Looks like Taranaki to me. Has Mt Ruhapehu erupted lately>

Well painted Mike, great contrast between the strong foreground and the mountain which is understated but still imposing.

my thanks to you all. I think that Ruhapehu has behaved for 12 months or so - can't recall hearing anything of late.. I know the cross over track was closed in part 12 months ago because of activity. I believe Taranaki hasn't mi behaved since 1863 - just a bit before my time !!

Mnt Taranaki/Egmont , a dormant volcano overlooks the town of New Plymouth. From the top (been there twice) one can see the volcanic plateau. There is a Maori legend tying them together
