Latest preliminary sketch with a view to an eventual painting- still needs some work on the face. This one is based upon an old photograph of Judi Dench as Titania in Peter Hall's 1967 film adaptation of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Interesting how film adaptations of Shakespeare tend to reflect the preoccupations of the time in which they are produced.
