City Locks

This is again great, Louise. Good composition and strong colours. I love it!

Thank you Jenny, Dennis and Mia. They seem to evolve Jenny. I'm not keen on photorealistic work (not that I could do it :) and rarely use a pencil to map things out as a pencil line slows me down and I like to paint quickly. Having said that, I did have to pencil in my moon shape here. I drew round the bottom of a nail varnish bottle and then used masking fluid! I go straight in with the paint brush and they rarely go to plan!

There aren't many people who would use watercolour this vivid Louise, very powerful.

I do like strong colour Frank. There's quite a lot of layering here and masking fluid between. Also white gouache added last for the white lines. Despite using very heavy weight paper, after all the abuse it received, I had to re wet the back of the paper and flatten it under a pile of heavy books. I'm pleased with the result though :)
