Interesting approach, which has worked well; I think the real success of this painting is your courage with the darks - you went right in and caught them, and the whole painting works because of that.

Directing pigment in the direction you want to ensure the effect you're trying to achieve is always exciting but more so as I painted this delightful rabbit; getting a feel for the fur but retaining a sense of impressionism rather than reality was my aim.
