COLOURED PENCILS Qtr Imp size Hahnemule wc paper watercolour pencils dry coloured pencils For the background I laid down very lightly colours from water soluble CPs then lightly brished over it all with lots of water. I then blcked in the tree branch and the darker areas of the tiger in a similar way,. I left it to dry completely for 24 hours. I then worked up the wood with some dry CP to add more texture and volume. I worked over the tiger, first with layers of lighter colours, then added in the darks and shaped the eye. Finally I added the whiskers. I'd used an embossing tool at the first stage so that the indentations would stop the colours going over it. Then I used white Derwent Coloursoft. The pencils i used were various watercolours then Prismacolours for most of the dry work. I did this for the November 2013 Fur, Feather, Scale challenge. Thanks to Stribb for the reference.
