GOUACHE 'Presseli View' Gouache A4 Hahnemule Sept 2012 I wasn't sure of this at first... it is a little 'abstract' for me but to be honest the colours ARE quite close. I regularly go to Pembrokeshire and love to drive over the Presseli Mountains. This time the hills were topped with almost Autumnal colours even though it was summer. The light in Pembs is unique and has attracted many artists including Sutherland and Nash. Landscapes are a weak area with me. So is painting loosely. SO I wanted to 'let go' a little wit this one, so emphasised the colours to make it a little more abstract but it still sums up the feelings I had.
