Superb Lisa do not touch it absolutely stunning. Love it

Don't change a thing, Lisa it looks well balanced to me. Its fresh and vibrant don't be tempted to tinker. If I had a painting like this I wouldn't be thinking of entering it, I would have already booked it in. This is a beautiful part of Southern England and you have captured it to perfection. Go for it.

Its worthy of a place in an exhibition. Unusual cool colouring Lisa.

Lisa it is lovely as it is one thing though I thought how about between the distant hills and top of the painting on the left some branches perhaps just appearing in the picture and will act as a frame because my eye is looking for something else on the left .As I mentioned your painting is lovely and well painted love the foreground the tree is fab love it all .I'm sure you will win a prize for this one.

Please don't change a thing Lisa - it's excellent

Thank you all for your very encouraging comments! I feel much better about it now. Your comments are much appreciated. I can see what you mean David about the gap on the left. I think I'll leave it on the easel for a few days and then decide. I'm new to the exhibiting scene having only joined my art group last September and from what I've seen, the standard is pretty good.

Thank you Carole

A painting that lifts one's spirits Lisa, leave well alone, it's wonderful.

I think this is a perfect painting Lisa, love the colouring and the composition I think is okay as well

It's lovely just as it is Lisa, a beautiful painting.

Thank you Russell, David and Jenny, it's good to have encouraging comments, it shall go In the exhibition now :-)

It's got to be a winner Lisa.....gorgeous painting.

Thank you Fiona, as long as it looks ok hanging with the others I'll be happy and if it doesn't sell it will go on the wall at home, something I never seem to do. This site is so good for building confidence isn't it

I love the freshness with the use of light tone colours. Very atmoshperic

Love the colour and light in this picture – very peaceful :-)

Thinking of entering this in local exhibition, but I'm not sure whether to call it finished. Should I change the tree in some way ...or add more cows or branches? Any comments welcome. The reference photo for this painting was opposite a more well known photographed spot - Arundel Castle. I thought the cows with the gorgeous South Downs in the background deserved some limelight too
