Master of the House

Perfect painting - what you've done is to capture the character, the pose, the size, without - and this is crucial from my point of view - producing a hair-by-hair photographic representation; everything is in place, but it's not like those paintings I just can't bear in which it appears the artist has peered at the subject with a magnifier - and missed the whole point. (This isn't a covert dig at anyone on POL, by the way!) I absolutely believe in this dog: he's real for me. A major accomplishment.
