Very nice Lilias, a black cocker is very hard to do! I know as I did my sisters in pastel, with that I used blues too. You have portrayed the hair very well.

I have a Milly as well! Lovely portrait, Lilias, you've got the glossy coat and cocker spaniel expression just right. I do just feel, though, that the right eye (as you look at the painting) might benefit from a little dark just under it like the other eye as it makes it stand out more. However, I don't do dog portraits so I may be barking up the wrong tree here (no pun intended!).
