Great Baddow

Colin Steed-Artist & Tutor. You have depicted this street scene very well Peter. It has a clear sharp look to it. It does lack a bit of atmosphere though. Stronger shadows on the gable ends of the buildings and darker shadow on the left-hand wall and road would all help to give the scene that sunlit effect. The addition of a figure or two would also add more interest and give you the focal point that it lacks. The path and road shadows look a touch muddy. Just watch when you over paint an area. I think you may be lifting off your first colour and mixing them alltogether on the paper. Overal though you show all the signs someone who can draw and paint very well. Well done Peter.
