Roger Blackwell sent in his version of this month's project saying: 'I painted my picture with soft pastels on the textured side of Canson Mi- Tientes paper measuring 16" x 11". I decided to change the building to a closer view and change the sweep of the river to lead the eye in. Leaving in a suggestion of the building on the left but using the trees to shield it and make it less prominent. Final touch was a wisp of smoke at the point of interest'
