Love the palette and the atmosphere, Roger.

It would be interesting to see Roger's 'mysterious' version, but this is a delightful study.

This is a great version of this subject. Lively and light, but like Robert, would like to see a threatening sky version. I am in the process of having a go at this scene, but it may not make it to the gallery!

As you probably know, pen and watercolour are my favourites, so: this is my kind of stuff, Roger! Beautiful pen work, lovely colours. Because I only received my magazine today, I am a bit late to give it a go. Maybe in a few days. Like Robert, I am curious to see your "mysterious" version!

Excellent, clean, crisp pic, well executed. Best Mick

Roger Blackwell sent in his version of this month's painting project saying: 'I kept my painting in a fairly loose style and used a Pitt Artist pen and watercolour on an A4 sheet of Daler Rowney Heavyweight smooth paper (220 gsm). I also attempted to give it a light and airy feel . . . but on second thoughts at some time it might be worth trying to attempt another and give a mysterious feel with darker tones and a threatening sky!'
