Two Spotted Woodpeckers by Leisure Painter

Would never have guessed, at least from the look of it on screen, that this was a watercolour - quite incredible work.

This is excellent painting. I have a spotted woodpecker in the garden, he loves fatty balls!

How big is this? You've dne well to get the curved claws so detailed. I like the dark background; it makes the birds stand out better.

Thank you all very much for your kind comments. The painting is 26 x 38cm, I did forget to put it in the description...ooops! It's the first project I've attempted as I haven't been getting LP very long. This project really inspired me to have a go. Watercolour on black paper really changes how the paint behaves and appears. It seems to give it an iridescent glow, which I love.
