Colin Steed-Artist & Tutor. Hi Jaunita. The sky has good tone and is of a blue hue. That helps the church and buildings to shine. Love the glow you have achieved behind the tree and the addition of the bench helps to counterbalance the tree. The foreground grass could have been darker and richer in colour . The tree shadow should run across or slightly towards the buildings. As it is the buildings would be in shadow not in sunlight. Overall though this is a really good attempt at a difficult subject Juanita.

Juanita Smith sent in this version of the project saying: 'Thank you Colin for this really inspiring picture. Enjoyed this, and got lots of practice with skies! Delighted with the atmospheric feel to the picture. Tried to use a few different techniques, spattering the front of the church, some dry brush work overall to try and give some glints of light from the paper. Looking forward to seeing Colin's version next month'
