Wider shadows under benches on the grass, the casting shadow on the wall from the porch, the lamps and under gutters would help too. I suspect you use a small brush? Try using a larger brush when applying paint to all larger areas. This will help you achieve fresher colour washes. Your on the right track. Keep sending them in Brian.
