I ought to know much more about boats than I do, living within a stone's throw of the sea: is that mast a bit short? I don't know, which is why I ask! Great atmosphere, anyway - and I'd never have known you've not been to Staithes if you hadn't said so.

Lovely atmosphere - parts are almost Turneresque! As to the mast, the boat is probably gaff rigged and when you hoist the gaff, it goes much higher than the mast
