What an amazing achievement and don't they all look splendid displayed like this. It is hard to pick a favourite, but mine would have to be the seagull, top left, as I just like the way it's flying into the painting. They are all marvellous though - so a big pat on the back for you.

Congratulations! Pat! Every one a little gem! Now , what will you do for an encore? :)

Thank you Thea and Sarah. It has been a very enjoyable exercise. Next my miniatures will have to be put in little boxes and sent to the organizers. That will take a few days. By the way anybody who is willing to paint 100 miniatures or offer miniature sculptures etc. is invited to take part. http://www.artsurprise.eu/participating/artists/ However, I must add that there is a financial outlay with artists having to buy the boxes. I paid 112 Euros (about 95 GBP) to buy the boxes plus the MDF panels to paint on. Artists have a chance of getting some money back though. For every box sold in a vending machine the artist will collect 3 Euros (2.60 GBP). It might take a year before I will see any noticeable results. If nothing else it is a good marketing exercise with 100 of my business cards going to 100 different places and people.

Now for an encore? A friend and I have decided to auction a standard size painting a week on our blog. Preparations are under way.

Hi Pat, just come across this amassing collection, just thinking of 100 different subjects would have given me a headache. My favourite is the seagulls on the breaker posts. how do you follow this Pat?

Peter, Thank you for asking. 100 subjects are not a problem when you look at all the memories and photographs you have collected over the years. To follow this I am planning to paint large versions of some of those miniatures but I shall take a break from miniatures for a while. I also have to tidy up my studio.

I've been watching Pat's progress from the beginning and it has been quite exciting and admiring. I am thrilled for Pat's achievement - wonderful project, wonderful paintings. Many best wishes, Pat.

This is the complete set of my 100 miniatures which I have painted for a project. They will go to art vending machines scattered around Europe. Each miniature is painted in acrylics on a 5x8cm MDF panel.
