Another lovely piece - I like the bright light and the lovely spontaneous lines. There's a lot of immediacy to this painting.

Lands End arched rock - Drawing The drawing in coloured pencil on fine art Hahnemuehle paper depicts cliffs close to Lands End in Cornwall. The texture of the grass, the sea, and the rocks I achieve through a special technique I have discovered works best for me. Instead of the traditional hatching I use the pencil in rapid movement to create the rocks and the swell of the sea. Often colours are blended by rubbing over the surface with a paper tissue. Then more colour is added with firm strokes. Limited edition prints are available from my webspace www.landscapeart.org.uk/en
