I was kind of commissioned to paint family portraits from very dark photos. And has to be 7x5 inches. Very very small, Im not one for portraits but found myself giving this a go. The top one is polycromos pencils, on the left is pastels and the right is watercolours.i found this So difficult to get shadings to facial expressions, in such an intricate size. After long hours of frustration and eye strain etc, they have been accepted.
